HELLO!
My name is Annalise Prentiss (she/her), and I am a singer, dancer, actor, creator, and activist based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I was born in Escuintla, Guatemala, and at three months old, I was adopted and moved to Lancaster, PA - my favorite spot in the whole country!
I graduated from The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Spanish. Class of 2024! Currently, I am rehearsing in Toronto with the Disney Destiny (after JUST debarking the Disney Wish!) as we prepare to sail the high seas. We’ll start in Germany, cross the Atlantic, and then port from Ft. Lauderdale to all your favorite Bahamian locations.
You can catch me on the main stage as your lovable wayfinder, Moana, and the eerie Fate of the past. I also understudy the bold Megara - your basic “D.I.D” - and Princess Anna, the chocolate lover.
Truly a dream come true!! ✨
All throughout college, I worked on training for this industry but also delved into a deep personal exploration - focusing on living in the in-between of being adopted by white parents. I dedicate a lot of my time to speaking out about the struggles of adoption, identity battles, and my personal evolution of reconnecting with my Guatemalan heritage. Any opportunity that I can get, whether in life or theatre specifically, to talk about my story and represent my identity is so meaningful. Eventually in life, I want to create an original work that combines my personal story with theatre and that speaks to the community of adoptees, letting them know that there are others like them.
I dedicate the other half of my time to family game nights, random adventures, walking outside with an iced honey latte with macadamia milk in hand, and by watching every sitcom and Disney/Pixar movie that ever existed. The other half of me is deeply devoted to TrainWreck episodes and true crime. The best of both worlds!
